No FOMO for FOMO
Today ends the first week of officially working from home. And I feel fortunate that the organisation I work for, gave us this option, in order to keep ourselves and everyone around us safe. In our home, the kiddos have access to online learning, I’ve structured a pretty good work plan and the cat is happy that she gets to stay indoors. I know some people find having to stay indoors against their will (introverts no need to put down your book), but I’m going to relish this time!

Can a friendship come to an organic end?
Relationships are hard, there is no doubt about it. Sustaining a friendship for decades is even harder. As we progress through life holding the hand or hands of the friends who we love the most can be tricky especially when life takes on career, travel, marriage and kids. What happens when the one person or persons takes on a different path and decide that what they loved about you twenty years ago is no longer the case? I’m fortunate and grateful that there are those precious few who have truly been my friend for many decades, but there are also friendships that have come into my life and just as easily departed. For that I feel sad at the loss. There were no disputes, no disagreements, we simply drifted. The phone calls became obsolete, there were less things to say. I sometimes ask ‘Could I have done more?’
