The ball dropped, the gong went off, the clock struck midnight. 2023 was born under a sky of crackers, hugs, kisses, smooches and well-wishers (those who were awake at least) who welcomed the new year with (I hope) the anticipation of better things to come. My very own FB post read a summerised version of the below.

  1. Here’s to eating well. And with that I mean access what you digest. Eat organic where possible, try to grow your herbs, texturize your dishes with flavour. Eat (out) well, experience the art of breaking bread over a fine meal when you can.
  2. Feed the mind. Just as important as feeding the body. I aim to learn something new every day, whether it be from my children, from my colleagues, from books, conversations, opinions, artists, storytellers, communicators. Shift the paradigm, shift the focus.
  3. Keeping healthy. Throw away anger especially that which is out of your control. Falsify your beliefs. Dive deeper into your subconscious, find ways to remember your dreams. Listen to your body, live your life knowing that you can sleep peacefully each night and jump into the void, you never know where it can take you.
  4. And Laugh-out-loud. Read that funny book, watch the slapstick film. Search for entertaining cat/dog/animal videos on You tube, listen to comedians with their clever wit. If the moment takes you to throw your head back, caution to the wind and laugh hugging your belly!

Happy 2023 everyone!
